Seasoned U.S. Department of Justice Attorney Vanessa Molina Joins Top Law Firm
Entering a new chapter of growth, the law firm formerly known as Noonan Lance Boyer & Banach LLP has changed its name to Noonan Lance & Boyer LLP. The law firm has also added attorney Vanessa Molina, a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Department of Justice, to its litigation team. Noonan Lance & Boyer LLP is a top San Diego law firm representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of practice areas and industries.
The firm’s partners are David J. Noonan, James R. Lance, Ethan T. Boyer and Genevieve M. Sauter. The firm’s rebrand comes following the departure of former partner Micaela P. Banach, who recently left the firm to concentrate her practice on employment law defense.
According to Managing Partner Ethan T. Boyer, the newly rebranded firm, also known as NoonanLance, will continue its keen focus on civil, commercial, and business litigation, achieving the best results for its clients in the most efficient manner possible.
“As we continue our focus on strategic growth, we will concentrate on building our litigation team and advocating strongly on behalf of our clients,” said Boyer. “We are incredibly proud that we have built NoonanLance into one of San Diego’s premier litigation firms over nearly ten years, receiving top accolades and case wins from year one.”
Molina joins the firm’s litigation team from the U.S. Department of Justice, at which she served for nearly a decade as a trial attorney in civil, criminal and antitrust matters. She is licensed to practice law in both California and Maryland. Molina earned her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.A. in international studies from the University of California, San Diego.
The firm’s successful track record in high-stakes litigation is most recently evidenced by a $12,933,400 win for an employee claiming an unpaid bonus against a San Diego-based real estate investment company. The lawsuit, filed in San Diego Superior Court in 2021, alleged that the employer had agreed to pay a specific percentage of the company’s net profits to its executive as an annual bonus but refused to pay the amount owed when the company sold most of its real estate portfolio in 2021.
In another recent matter, Boyer recovered $1.125 million for the firm’s client, Ozop Energy Systems, in a lawsuit for fraud, unfair competition, and breach of contract in San Diego Superior Court.
Since its launch in 2016, NoonanLance has gained recognition for taking on and winning some of the most challenging and complex cases – representing companies and individuals – from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses throughout the country. The firm’s practice areas include commercial litigation, real estate litigation, legal malpractice defense, unfair competition
and other business torts, partnership disputes, intellectual property, products liability, personal injury, and more.
